PS3 Backwards Compatability FTW!

My copy of La Pucelle Tactics didn’t work with either of the Playstation 2’s I have, finally with my Playstation 3 it plays properly. Previously I’d get a garbled screen, not sure why. Also, virtual memory cards and 99% compatibility are such a refreshing change from the stacks of xbox 1 games I have that don’t work well or at all.

Glad to hear that PS3 backwards compatibility works well, I always thought of backwards compatibility as a marketing thing. One I get a new system I just want to play games meant for it. Why would i want to go back and play old games. check out my blog:

For me one of the reasons why I buy a game is so I can return to it later and enjoy it, like a good novel. For instance I’ve read that classic “The Stranger” a number of times. While not on the same quality level, I’ve also played through metal gear solid 1 some more than once.

As another example, I was a tester on the Xbox (1), and I didn’t like it so I never bought it. However with my 360 I can go back and play xbox 1 games on my 360 that I would have never had a chance to play otherwise.

I’m probably not among the majority, but there you go.
